Amanda Quick

Amanda Quick

Amanda Quick started cello at the late age of eleven with Ben Gitter, but quickly sped through the Suzuki repertoire under the watchful gaze of Julia McGregor. She spent her high school summers performing at SOSI with Paul Pulford and Paul Marleyn, and her school years in FCTE, Kiwanis and RCM examinations for Grade 8 equivalency in both piano and cello.

She has since completed her Bachelor of Musical Arts (Hon.) with Tom Wiebe at Western University, and plans on completing her Suzuki teacher requirements in the new year, where she will also be starting her first year as a music director at the Komoka YMCA's new music program, Cantus Academy.

Amanda greatly enjoys keeping the fun in her music studies, and teaching health in musical performance, as per her informative sessions with renowned hand therapist Christine Guptill in 2013/14. Amanda has had a private music studio for 8 years now, and enjoys every minute!
